Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

SiteWatch is a self-hosted uptime monitoring tool built by ZeroDeps. We take your privacy seriously. Here's exactly what data the extension handles and where it goes.

What data does the extension collect?

The SiteWatch Chrome extension stores the following in Chrome's sync storage (local to your browser and Google account):

That's it. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any other personal data.

Where does data go?

The extension communicates exclusively with the server URL you configure. This is a server you own and control. No data is sent to SiteWatch, ZeroDeps, analytics services, ad networks, or any third party.

What does the monitoring server store?

The self-hosted SiteWatch server stores:

This data is stored as JSON files on your server's filesystem. It never leaves your server unless you choose to share it.

Website analytics

The SiteWatch website (getsitewatch.dev) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as page views, referral sources, and browser type. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser extension such as Google Analytics Opt-out.

Payment processing

SiteWatch Pro subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a Pro license, Lemon Squeezy collects your payment information and processes the transaction. We do not have access to your full credit card details. Please refer to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

Third-party services

The SiteWatch extension and self-hosted server use zero third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. The landing page website uses Google Analytics as described above. There are no cookies set by the extension, no tracking pixels, and no telemetry.
