SiteWatch is an uptime monitoring tool built by ZeroDeps. We take your privacy seriously. Here's exactly what data the extension handles and where it goes.

What data does the extension collect?

The SiteWatch Chrome extension stores the following in Chrome's sync storage (local to your browser and Google account):

• Your server URL (the address of the monitoring server)
• Your API key or authentication token

That's it. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any other personal data.

Where does data go?

The extension communicates with our hosted server at api.getsitewatch.dev. Your monitoring data (see below) is stored on our server infrastructure hosted on Oracle Cloud (Frankfurt, EU). We do not sell, share, or provide your monitoring data to any third party.

What monitoring data is stored?

The SiteWatch server stores:

• URLs you choose to monitor
• HTTP status codes and response times from those URLs
• Timestamps of checks
• Your email address (provided via LemonSqueezy at checkout)
• Your license key and account plan

This data is stored on our server infrastructure. Your data is isolated from other users. We retain your monitoring data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or stop using the service, we will delete your data within 30 days.

Website analytics

The SiteWatch website (getsitewatch.dev) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as page views, referral sources, and browser type. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser extension such as Google Analytics Opt-out.

Payment processing

SiteWatch Pro subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a Pro license, Lemon Squeezy collects your payment information and processes the transaction. We do not have access to your full credit card details. Please refer to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

Third-party services

The SiteWatch extension uses zero third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. The landing page website uses Google Analytics as described above. There are no cookies set by the extension, no tracking pixels, and no telemetry.

Chrome extension permissions explained

• alarms — Used to poll your server status every minute for badge updates
• notifications — Used to show desktop alerts when a site goes down or comes back up
• storage — Used to save your server URL, auth token, and license key in Chrome sync storage

Data retention

Extension data is stored in your Chrome sync storage and persists until you clear it via the extension's settings page.

Your monitoring data is retained while your account is active. History retention depends on your plan (24 hours for free, 30 days for Pro). You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.

Children's privacy

SiteWatch is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of SiteWatch after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
